Giving Thanks

We spent a quiet day at home giving thanks for all of God’s goodness to us. We missed having other Americans with whom to celebrate, but I did the next best thing and shared a morning cup of coffe with the family (kind of) and cooked a semi-traditional Thanksgiving meal and shared it with a friend.

Vision 2020: 4 x 1

The church-planting initiative to plant 650 churches by the year 2020 is off to a good start. 13 church planter schools have been started in four Assemblies of God districts across Liberia.

Reaching each location is challenging year-round and especially so during rainy season. We pray a special blessing on the men and women who are willing to face each challenge to prepare themselves and others for ministry.

Time to Celebrate

Liberia Assemblies of God Bible College just had it annual graduation ceremony. Bill Mulbah, one of our pastors who travels with us as part of our construction team, was among this year’s graduates. He invited Fredna to preach on a Sunday morning to celebrate this achievement and to give thanks to God and others who were instrumental in assisting him in this endeavor. We had a great day sharing this occasion with him, his family, and friends.

The family presented us with articles of clothing as a way of saying thank you. As is customary, they dressed us in front of the congregation.
