Malawi A/G General Assembly

Pastors and laity from the Malawi A/G gathered in Lilongwe for their annual General Assembly.  The day sessions were held indoors, while the night rallies were conducted outdoors in the cool, winter air.
President Lazarus Chakwera introduced the main speaker for this year’s event, Rev. George Phillips from the U.S. Virgin Islands.  What a timely word he shared with the church!  All of our hearts were challenged to strive for continued excellence in our ministries.  Dr. Phillips sentiment that “the rest of your days are the best of your days” elicited a response from the audience.

Especially enjoyable were the night rallies in the open air.  Though there were many challenges with lighting and electricity, we enjoyed the presence of God with special singing, dancing and anointed preaching.

The commissioning service for missionaries going out from Malawi to other parts of Africa was very moving.  We Americans sometimes fail to note that God is raising up missionaries from all parts of the world to all parts of the world.

And what pentecostal meeting would be complete without food and fellowship?  One of our pastors refers to this as “swallowship”.  Kind of a catchy phrase!

Praise God for what He is doing in and through the Malawi A/G and for allowing us to be a part of this amazing fellowship.
