September 20, 2015, we preached and shared a day of celebration with Reverend John Roberts and his wife. There was much on the program, but we had a wonderful day.
We arrived a bit early, so I went across the road from the church and visited with the neighbors for a while. I even found a baby to hold – and he wasn’t afraid of my white skin.
Pretty nifty umbrella for the motorcycle taxi
I made a stop by children’s church, where the pastor’s wife was teaching in an outside room, before going into the sanctuary.

Three Sunday school classes were going on in the auditorium at the same time, with the youth and children meeting outside
Another tall chair for the big man
Ebola protocols are still in place at public gatherings
The church had just concluded an ushers’ convention, so they honored some of their members who had participated. They “flowered” us as well.
We woke up to a flat tire on our vehicle. Gaylord changed it and had Roosevelt meet us with a spare. He accompanied us to the church service. Several choirs were present to sing specials, so this is where I found Roosevelt as the morning wore on.
Due to heavy rains, there was a landslide on this portion of the road earlier in the week. One lane was still blocked off, but we made it home safely.
