Philadelphia A/G–Gardnersville

Last month we had a service cancelled due to rain. We re-scheduled for October 11, 2015. This day was "dry" enough for service. I can only imagine when it was too "wet".You may find the first several pictures to be annoying, but they are included for realism.  These were taken on the drive to/from church.  This is how it is for months here during rainy season, and the people must carry on with daily life and activities.

We finally made it to the church site and discovered that the congregation currently meets in this screened-in-porch area of a business.  We were met quite happily by Pastor Natusla Numu and his wife.

After service, the group took us outside to see the beginning of their new building project and shared the need for assistance in purchasing roofing materials.  Some might question building a church in such as swampy area, but much of the city is swampy, and this is where the people live, so that is where the church needs to be.  May God bless them for their determination to provide a church in this challenging location.
