District councils are held in November of each year. It is not possible for us to attend all six councils, but we were privileged to attend two this year. Nimba District convened early in the month in the town of Bahn.
District Superintendent Moses Dermie introduced Gaylord as he preached and shared the national church’s new church-planting initiative. If you look closely at the second photo, you can tell how warm it was from the moisture on Gaylord’s shirt. The afternoon included a meeting with the district missions and evangelism team.
When traveling across the country, we try to visit with pastors and check on ministry projects. Since Bahn is about a seven-hour drive from Monrovia, we had the opportunity to do that. In Ganta Reverends Mesleh and Freeman showed us the newly-constructed Bible school and a possible site for the construction of a new church.
We also toured the construction site of the new district offices in Saclepea and another new church construction site in Duowin and saw our A/G church in Zanpea.
There was a rice field next to the church. I had never seen rice growing before, so these ladies were kind enough to give me a tour.
Rainy season should be finishing soon, but for now it still lingers and creates challenges with the roads.
